How to Fix a Industrial Computer That Makes a Noise

The radiator is one of the main noise sources of the industrial computer. The more advanced and newer the configuration of the industrial computer, the more heat will be generated because of the complex structure of its internal processor. Therefore, the rationality of the radiator design is related to the industrial computer. Whether it can work stably.

Everyone knows that the internal hardware temperature of the industrial computer is too high, the system will be unstable, and the direct result will be that the industrial computer cannot work normally, aging or even scrapped in advance. So how can we improve this problem?

Reduce radiator noise

1. Silent radiator

The principle of the silent radiator is to increase the fan speed, speed up the airflow, increase the diameter of the fan, and widen the airflow channel. While increasing the diameter of the fan, it also increases the wind receiving area of the heat sink. Or you can optimize the shape of the fan blades of the radiator, and use a drainage design to prevent the airflow from spreading around, so as to guide the surrounding air flow instead of forcing the air.

2. Speed control

The main goal of the radiator fan is to meet the heat dissipation of high-end high-load processors, but in actual work, most of them deal with low-to-medium load and mid-end mainstream processors, and do not need to use the highest speed to provide the maximum air volume , so many manufacturers will control the speed to reduce the noise of the radiator.

Integration of radiator and chassis

The external cold air is sucked into the industrial computer by the radiator in front of the chassis and the cooling holes on both sides of the chassis, passes through various accessories in the industrial computer, and finally passes through the CPU, and part of the hot air is discharged from the radiator at the rear of the chassis. Another part of the hot air is exhausted through the heat sink of the power supply. This design can increase the air volume of the radiator, increase the speed, efficiently dissipate heat, reduce the noise of the radiator, and prolong the service life of the machine.

The application of industrial computer is becoming more and more extensive, basically all industries are involved, and the industrial computer with noise can no longer meet the needs of some customers. Now it has been gradually replaced by Fanless Embedded PC.

The embedded industrial computer has no fan, and adopts the method of concentrating heat and then dissipating heat evenly, which is close to zero noise. It is suitable for scientific research places and office places, and completely solves the problems of insufficient heat dissipation and noise of traditional industrial computers.
