How to Clean Industrial Computers and Monitors?

After the industrial computer has been used for a long time, there may be dust and dirt on the inside and outside of the computer host and display. If it is not cleaned, it will affect the normal operation of the industrial computer. So how do we clean it?

1. Prepare tools first: There are many tools to be prepared, including cleaning agent (with sponge block), soft rag, eraser, alcohol, cotton ball, etc., as well as Phillips screwdriver and anti-static bracelet.

2. Dismantling: Disassemble the industrial computer case after wearing an anti-static bracelet. After the industrial computer has been used for a period of time, the components in the case will be very dirty, especially the place with heat sinks, so they need to be dismantled and cleaned one by one.

3. Clean the CPU: Remove the CPU fan and separate the small fan from the heat sink. When cleaning, first use an oil paintbrush to brush. Some blades are relatively dense, and heat sinks with "feng"-shaped fine lines on the surface are more difficult to clean. You can wrap the key with a paper towel, and then push the key into the groove of the heat sink. This allows for a more thorough cleaning. This method can also be used to clean heat sinks on chipsets or display chips.

4. Clean the main board: If the main board is not too dirty, there is no need to remove it. After brushing with an oil paint brush, use a hair dryer to blow even the motherboard and the inner wall of the case. Pay attention to controlling the time and distance of blowing. If the motherboard is dirty, you need to remove the motherboard from the case. Roughly clean the floating dust with an oil paintbrush, and brush on both sides. Note that the hair that falls off the oil paint brush should be cleaned. Then use the ear washing ball to blow the various slots and corners that have not been cleaned.

5. Expansion card and memory dust removal: first take out the graphics card, sound card, network card and other expansion cards, and the dust on the card can be cleaned with an oil brush first. Be careful not to be next to the computer when cleaning, otherwise the raised dust will fall back, and it will be useless, and the following operations are the same. Use an Ear Washing Ball to blow the "hygienic" dead spots on the expansion card, such as near component pins. Then paint with an oil paint brush.

6. Clean the gold fingers of the expansion card: Use an eraser to wipe the gold fingers of the expansion card. Be sure to choose an elastic eraser for pencil writing. If the eraser is too hard and rough, it may cause wear and tear on the gold finger.

7. Clean the hard disk: the metal shell of the hard disk can be wiped with a paper towel or dry soft cloth, and the circuit board should be dusted with an oil paintbrush.

8. Clean the connecting wires: After cleaning the hard disk, it is time to clean the various connecting wires. Use paper towels or dry cloth to wipe the data cables and power cables.

9. Clean the chassis: the inner and outer walls of the chassis need to be cleaned. Cleaning of the inner wall As mentioned earlier, if there is a lot of dust and dirt in the case, wipe off the dust and dirt with a dry cloth before blowing it with a hair dryer. When cleaning the outer wall of the case, first wipe off the dust with a dry cloth, and then use a sponge dipped in detergent to scrub. After the sponge is dirty, wash it with water and let it dry before using. After the cleaning is completed, the parts cleaned in the previous steps can be installed back, and the case cover is closed, and the host part is cleaned up here.

10. Cleaning industrial displays: The cleaning of industrial displays is divided into two parts, namely cleaning the casing of industrial displays and cleaning the touch screen. When cleaning industrial displays, make sure to cut off the power supply, and do not use dripping rags or sponges, especially when scrubbing the upper cooling holes, it is best to use dry cloth to prevent accidents of water entering the display. The method of cleaning the touchmonitor shell is the same as cleaning the outer wall of the chassis, using detergent for cleaning. When cleaning the display screen, first wipe it with a wrung soft cloth, and then gently wipe it with a paper towel. Be careful not to wipe it with organic solvents such as alcohol! The surface of many monitors is coated with an anti-reflection film, and organic solvents will damage it.

The above is about the cleaning work sharing of industrial computers. In the process of daily use of industrial computers, we must regularly clean and remove dust from the host and display of the industrial computer to ensure that the equipment can run stably and uninterrupted.
